CeDEM Asia in Dague, South Korea

After two conferences in Singapore and Hong Kong, CeDEM Asia took place for the third time from 7-9 December 2016 in Daegu. As a forum for exchanging ideas, networking and collaboration in the areas of eDemocracy and Open Government, this year's conference was held in cooperation with DISC (Daegu Gyeongbuk International Social network Conference) and jointly organised by City University of Hong Kong, Danube University Krems, Cyber Emotions Research Center (YeungNam University), World Association for Triple helix and Future strategy studies, Nam Center for Korean Studies (University of Michigan), and Singapore Internet Research Centre (Nanyang Technological University). Participants discussed the role of social media, mobile technology, open data and digital innovation in the future of citizenship and governance. City University particpants Marko Skoric, Tetsuro Kobayashi and Judith Schossboeck presented their work and held a workshop at the conference.
