The Departmental Advisory Committee (DAC) meeting was held online on 31 August 2020. DAC, comprised of renowned professionals and scholars in the communication field, acts as the interface between the Department and the public and private sectors of the community. It advises the Department on the development of academic programmes, research and other activities to meet the needs of Hong Kong. Chaired by Mr Lu Ningsi, the Executive Chief Editor from Phoenix InfoNews Channel, the external members shared their experience and made valuable comments to the Department during the meeting. COM faculty including Professor Yu-li Liu, Dr Joe He, Dr Crystal Jiang, Dr Chris Shen, Dr Marko Skoric, Dr Tetsuro Kobayashi and Dr Kim Ki Joon also gave an overview of the departmental programmes and activities.
 
To express the gratitude to Chairman Mr LU Ningsi for his support and leadership, the Head of the Department Professor Yu-li Liu presented a souvenir to him for his 6 years of service.
