The international conference on “Media, Communication, Culture and the Dynamics of Change”, organized by the Asian Congress on Media and Communication (ACMC) in partnership with the Department of Media and Communication, City University of Hong Kong, will be held from 13 to 15 November at the Run Run Shaw Creative Media Centre (CMC). The theme of the 2014 conference seeks to address the challenges that emerging media pose to the study and use of media. About 150 participants from different parts of Asia and the world will present and discuss themes such as the cultural impact of advertising, broadcast media and the public sphere, education’s changing paradigms, media ethics, visual communication and the cultural shift, culture, gender and identity, changing definitions of news, integrated marketing communication strategies, language and the dynamics of change, semiotics and the ethnic media challenges, media and political communication, human rights, social media and public relations, etc.
