The Center for Communication Research has moved into the landmark Creative Media Building (CMC) to begin the new semester.
CMC is designed by the world-renowned architect, Daniel Liebskind, who is noted for designing the post-911 reconstruction work on the World Trade Center site in New York. Located on the fifth floor overlooking the whole of Kowloon and beyond, COM will develop its state-of-the-art facilities to their full capacity. The student-run CTV has already produced programs in the new home that are broadcast througout the CityU campus and via YouTube.
The Center plans to have an open house along with a series of activities in order to present its new home to the media community, CityU colleagues, as well as high school teachers and their students. Discussion is underway with the Hong Kong Journalists' Association for holding a seminar in early March when senior journalists will be able to meet and share their insights with aspiring media students.
