The 2017 Annual Conference and Workshop on Computational Communication was held at Nanjing University, Nanjing, Sept 22-24, 2017, co-organized by School of Journalism and Communication of Nanjing University, Centre for Communication Research/Web Mining Lab of City University of Hong Kong, Social Media Processing Committee of the Chinese Information Association, and Baidu. Over 200 scholars and students of computational communication research in China and elsewhere attended the 3-day event, with 50+ competitive papers presented and a dozen invitated speeches given.
In the openning session of the Conference, Prof. Jonathan Zhu of CCR delivered a keynote speech on “Gold mines and bad pitfalls of computational communication research”.
