Abstract

How does Putin try to revive Russia’s glorious past through the reshaping of ideology to provide guidance for media management policy?  How does his media policy differ from Yelstin’s?  How does Russia seek to establish a public-service media system with the state serving as the largest stakeholder that replaces the control by commercial oligarchies? What role do the media professionals play in this process of transformation?  What implications may Russia’s experience pose for China’s media reform?

HU Fengyung (胡逢瑛), 廣州暨南大學新聞與傳播學院副教授，莫斯科國立國際關係學院(МГИМО)政治傳播學博士。WU Fei (吳非), 廣州暨南大學新聞與傳播學院副教授、海外華人媒體研究中心主任，莫斯科國立大學(МГУ)社會傳播學博士。兩人合著《轉型中的俄羅斯傳媒》、《透視蘇俄傳媒轉型變局》、《反恐年代中的國際新聞與危機傳播》、《政治傳播與新聞體制》。現為傳播研究中心訪問學者。
